The Following is a list of browsers that are compatible with ClickSafety courses, along with any known issues and the solution to those issues in parentheses.
This article refers to browsers used on true, full featured computers. For information on using iPads and tablets, click here.
If you are not sure what browser you are currently using, you can find out by clicking this link: www.whatismybrowser.com
Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10 and 11
-Internet explorer 10, in some cases, may spontaneously restart a section. (Switch to different browser)
-Internet explorer 11 suppresses a form required to complete registration of new accounts. (Switch to different browser)
-All versions of Internet Explorer have a tendency to hold on to old history and cached data and must be periodically manually cleared out. (Click Ctrl+Alt+Delete, click delete and restart browser. You will have to log in and start section over)
-All versions of Internet Explorer are more susceptible to dips in wireless signals and prone to break connection with our server than other browsers. (When possible, use a hard wired connection to the Internet)
Note: AOL Explorer and MSN Explorer are not supported.
Mozilla Firefox
- Some users of Firefox may find that their elapsed access time is not tracking correctly. This can result in not reaching any minimum access time the course may require. (Contact support@clicksafety.com to ask for a time audit if recorded time is significantly short of the requirement after the course has been completed.)
Safari
The default browser on Mac computers, Safari has pop up blockers enabled but does not warn when a pop up has been blocked. This will prevent a course from opening. (Disable pop up blockers in Safari settings)
Google Chrome
Chrome has pop up blockers enabled but does not warn when a pop up has been blocked. This will prevent a course from opening. (Disable pop up blockers in Chrome settings)
